Year 6 Science π¬π₯ This week, students explored how heat can cause substances to change in different ways π§ͺβ¨ We investigated eggs π³, butter π§, crayons ποΈ and carrots π₯ to see what happens when heat is applied and discovered some surprising transformations! π‘πͺΆ Year 4 are stepping back in time at Elizabeth Farm! Students explored the historic home of the Macarthur family to learn about convict life, colonisation and the impact of colonisation on the environment. πΏπ Through hands-on activities and object-based learning, students washed clothes by hand, built brick fireplaces like convicts, wrote tickets of leave with quill pens and ink, and investigated traditional Indigenous hunting, gathering and land management practices. βοΈπ§±π§Ί A wonderful day of immersive learning and discovery! π

Stepping back in time at Rouse Hill Estate! π«π¬π§β¨β³ Our Year 1 students travelled all the way back to the 1880s for a hands-on history adventure! ππ©π Students dressed in period costumes, with straw hats, pinafores, sailor collars and coats, before meeting their schoolmaster and schoolmistress to begin the school day. ππ§₯π From saluting the British flag π¬π§ and singing βGod Save the Queenβ πΆ to marching into the old schoolroom and experiencing lessons from the past βοΈπͺπ, students had an exciting day full of learning, curiosity and fun! πβ¨ποΈ

What a wonderful reward day our Year 3 students enjoyed earlier this term! π The students had a fantastic time creating beautiful Motherβs Day cards filled with thoughtful messages and colourful designs. πβ€οΈ They also loved spending extra free time outdoors playing with friends and enjoying the sunshine, followed by some relaxing and fun free time back in the classroom. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces, creativity, kindness and teamwork throughout the day. A well-deserved reward for all of their hard work this term! ππ
