On Monday, we went to the hall and talked to the senior citizens 👵👴 We talked about what we can do now and what we did in the past 🕰️. We shared stories about school in our lifetime, and they told us about their stories when they were in school 📚 Here are some facts that we learned: * They used a chalkboard 🧽 * They didn’t have whiteboard tables ✏️ * They would get hit with a cane if they were in trouble at school 😬 * They didn’t have a TV, laptop or phone 📺💻📱 Written by Nader, Sebastian and Charlie (Year 2) ✍️😊

SESSION 2 - 2026 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials are OPEN! 📢 OPEN NOW (Term 4, 2025): AFL - Boys & Girls Team Football (Soccer) - Boys & Girls Team Hockey - Boys & Girls Team Netball - Girls Team Rugby League - U12 Boys & Girls Team Rugby Union - Boys Team Softball - Boys & Girls Team Touch Football - Boys & Girls Team Please note: Basketball, Cricket, and Tennis nominations are closed. 📢 OPENING Monday 1st December 2025: ✍️Who Can Nominate? Years 5 & 6 (2026): Eligible to nominate for all sports when they open. Year 4 (2026): Eligible to nominate for Hockey, Softball & Touch Football only. Eligibility & Requirements ✅ Trials are for students who can demonstrate: - Above average ability - High level of skill development - Representative playing experience applicable for some sports - Regular competition experience outside of school (preferred) ✅ To be eligible: The 2026 CSPD Primary Sport TEAM Registration Form must be completed. 📊✨ Our Year 1 students have been busy exploring data over the past couple of weeks!�They’ve been collecting, organising, representing and interpreting information in creative ways. 👧🧒 We even visited Kindergarten to investigate which playground equipment they’d love to see at school! 🤖🦵 Students also designed their own robots and chose to sort and organise them by their legs. Such clever thinkers! So proud of their curiosity and teamwork! 🌟💛

🤸‍♀️✨ Our St Patrick’s girls gave their all in the Team Division at the Parramatta Diocesan Gymnastics Competition, held at the Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre! 💚💪 They performed with confidence across the Static Series, Mini Tramp, Vault, and Floor Routine, with many students receiving medals for their excellent performances. 🥇🥈🥉 Such a fantastic effort from every member of the team! 💫 A big thank you to Mrs. Barros for managing and supporting the students throughout the day. 🙏💚 We’re also grateful to the parents and friends who came along to cheer the girls on. Your support made the day even more special. 👏😊

Our Year 4 students have been busy exploring historical recounts and biographies, and today they proudly presented biographies they created about special members of their own families. ✍️📖 From grandparents to siblings, we heard so many thoughtful, heartfelt stories. The students showed wonderful confidence, curiosity, and respect as they shared the lives and achievements of the people who inspire them most. ❤️ We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the enthusiasm they brought to this project. Well done, Year 4!
